The Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission (TTSEC) echoes the advice of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service by reminding citizens to be on the alert for fraudsters, scam artists and illegitimate investment schemes.
The TTSEC with support from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (USSEC) hosted a four day Inspections and Compliance Training Programme and a one day Inspections and Compliance Training Seminar from September 16-20 in Port of Spain.
In furtherance of its mandate for investor education, the Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission (TTSEC) conducted a number of investor education sessions with the various formations of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) and the vacation youth camps organised by the Ministry of Gender Youth and Child Development.

On Wednesday March 27, at the Trinidad Hilton and Conference Centre, six young people were presented with their prizes for winning the TTSEC’s 2013 Investor Education Competition. This competition, which is the TTSEC’s second competition of this nature, was held in partnership with the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange Limited (TTSE) and targeted the youth of Trinidad and Tobago between the ages of 18 to 25 years.
The TTSEC, the country’s securities market regulator, has partnered with the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange Limited (TTSE) to host an investor education competition for youths of Trinidad and Tobago who are between the ages of 18 to 25 years.
